Walnut Creek Wetland Center, Raleigh NC: winner of a GOLD Stewardship Development Award in 2013

The Greater Triangle Stewardship Development Association (GTSDA) honored residential, commercial and public land developments in the Greater Triangle region of North Carolina that demonstrated outstanding environmental stewardship through protection, conservation, improvement, and appreciation of our natural resources.

The GTSDA was a nonprofit partnership that recognized land developments that go beyond compliance in site design and construction & building techniques in order to protect water quality, preserve natural habitats and open space, and enhance the fabric of the community.

The GTSDA hosted awards between 2011- 2018,  providing its final award to Town of Cary’s  Crabtree Creek Greenway for a  Silver Stewardship Development Award at the March 28, 2019 Town Council meeting.

This site serves as an archive to recognize and share the land developments that were honored for their stewardship.
